Akemi Koda, CEO had the honor of joining the annual JCCNC & JBA delegation to Sacramento last week. It was an incredible learning experience\u2014and a powerful reminder of the importance of ongoing dialogue and partnership. Japan remains a major source of foreign investment in California, which has now officially surpassed Japan to become the world\u2019s fourth-largest economy. Japanese businesses have a significant positive impact on the California economy, contributing over 100,000 jobs and billions of dollars in wages.
\nIn particular, learning about SB 7 (regulation of AI use) and the energy cost challenges facing businesses was especially meaningful to us.
\nAkemi also had the pleasure of meeting many distinguished guests at the
\nCalifornia\u2013Japan Legislative Forum Reception, co-hosted with the Consulate
