Akemi Koda attended to the luncheon and the first hearing of the Assembly Select Committee on Asia\/California Trade, Jessica Caloza.
\nIt was a privilege to hear Glen S. Fukushima speak on the impact of federal tariffs, and to learn from so many distinguished guests, Assembly members, and others. Remarks from Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kouitorou, California\u2019s trade representative, underscored the state\u2019s global leadership. Deputy Consul General Takeshi Ishihara of the Consulate-General of Japan in San Francisco highlighted the deep and enduring California\u2013Japan relationship. The luncheon, Assembly floor visit, and hearing were all a meaningful learning experience.
